Travel Chatter: What's Hot On The Net (June 22, 2009)

by austin on
The blogosphere is full of travel inspiration and ideas... here's our favorite finds from the past week.

TBEX Road Trip: No McDonalds On This Trip
Have you checked out the TBEX Road Trip blog yet? Kelly just wrote a little article on it about a great site that she's using to find local food options while on the road to TBEX.

Tim Leffel's Cheapest Destinations: Cheap Travel Means Coping With Noise
Planning on traveling cheap? Be prepared to have to deal with being closer to people than you're used to, AND dealing with more noise. Tim offers some good tips on how to cope.

Road Junky Travel: Asian Culture In The West
Culture isn't static, but instead always changing. On Italian Culture: "You can package up culture all you want and create some imagined ideal but usually the real thing is just around the corner."

Tamarind and Thyme: Malaysia Kopi Tiam
Su-lin strikes again and found some great Malaysian food in London, for cheap. I think that all travelers need to have a "Su-Lin Appreciation Day" in honor of all her hard work; ferreting out all the good, cheap food in one of the most expensive cities in the world. I tip my hat to you, madam.
